Question: Could you please describe the trekking program after the workshop?

Answer: The workshop program ends on October 9th.  For those continuing with the trekking portion, you will take a bus with the group to Pokhara and go to the starting point of the trek, staying in a teahouse. That will be the first night of five nights of trekking and the sixth night spent at the hotel in Pokhara. The group will hike daily and it is an easy to moderate trek at low altitudes, a foothill trek beneath towering Himalayan Mountains:

Ghorepani-Poon Hill Trek – is one of the most popular trekking routes in the Annapurna foothills. Enjoy trekking in the spectacular mountain scenery through charming villages inhabitated by the Gurungs, the legendary Gurkha soldiers, dense rhododendron forests full of birds, and deep sub-tropical valleys, all set below the Annapurnas with the picturesque fluted peak of Machapuchare (Fish Tail Peak) dominating the skyline. At the climax of this trek you will climb Poon Hill at dawn to enjoy one of the most spectacular mountainscapes on Earth. As the sun touches the snowcapped summits, the Himalayan giants, Dhaulagiri (8,167m/26,788ft.) and Annapurna (8,091m/26,538ft.) along with a maze of other peaks, slowly begin to appear, like magic, before our eyes. It is a highly rewarding, low altitude trek, filled with flora, fauna, culture, and the most magnificent mountains you can imagine.
